Catch up from last session

  • We went to fight the sirens and fought them and got one room past the sirens

Post Sirens

  • Long hallway with a set of doors
    • Heavy door
    • weird features on the door
      • no knob
      • Seems to push in
  • Door to the right that is smaller
  • We opt for the door on the right
  • Opens onto a round tunnel that is rotating around
    • Has a strange pattern of black and white and is glistening
    • Hallway turns
    • Forber ignites the floor
  • I go to open the other door
    • The door swings open
    • Has a weird locking flange
    • Seems like a pressure chamber
    • Series of three doors
    • After the doors there is a blue shimmery light and we are hit with dampness and low temp

The Boiling Bubble

  • In the tunnel after the doors, we find a tunnel with boiling water (think Jaws 3d)
  • We see something moving in the tunnel
  • The bubble is made of something balloon like and we could pop it
  • Forber is going in after casting invisibility
  • Sees a giant crab and there’s a chest behind it

I know something about Wave from the Crucible

  • It is kept in the archive vault for a reason
    • +3 weapon
    • Can do some strong things when attuned
    • Reputation isn’t as dark
    • Last people who wielded it all disappeared it
    • Requires dedication to a particular Ocean god to attune to it

Crab Fight

  • Crab is immune to
    • Charmed
    • Frightened
    • Paralyzed
  • Forber is grabbing the trident and looting the chest
    • He can feel the power of the trident
      • It makes an offer and it feels familiar
  • Crab knocks out both Thrainly and Cosimo
  • Lorian takes it down
  • Booming, evil laughter
    • “Seems you passed the second test…see you at the third”

  • We get about 500 gold each
  • We find some goggles with some runes on them
  • Collect ten copper bands from the crabs legs
  • We find goggle of the night
    • Give them to Lorian

Side Corridor

  • Spinning hallway is no longer on fire
  • We get through the corridor and there is an opulent room
  • Mosaics depicting natural scenes
  • A lavish bed
  • Candies
  • Large heavy chest in one corner of the room
  • The room wraps around
  • I open the chest
    • Scattering of coins
    • but I hear a click
    • I drop the lid of the chest
      • Start losing my vision in the area

  • Start down the third direction of the three way split
  • Corridor is very damp
  • We see slime that is moving down the corridor only because it is empty of water
    • Lorian sets it on fire
  • We encounter a heavy wooden door on the left path
    • There is a 30x30 room
    • Far side has another door
    • Scattered around the room are 5 flesh golems
      • Each has a number on its chest
      • One of us does not belong with the others
        • If you get it right you can control it and we’ll give safe passage
        • 5, 7, 9, 11, 13
      • Door on the far side clicks open
  • Door on the far side
    • There’s a turnstyle
      • We all go through
    • We climb some stairs and find a heavy door bound in iron
  • We’re in the midst of a vampire fight
    • I tore a sconce off the wall and can move around with a torch
    • Lorian did the same
    • Thrainly gets a heal and is in the coffin
    • Thrainly runs into Fleshy and gets hit in the dark and is down again
    • We retreat after Thrainley’s death down the hall
    • Back to the room with the floating disks
  • We are back to the crossroads
    • Lorian has a large dwarven hammer
    • Exudes coldness
  • We go into a room that we haven’t been to before
    • 9 globes with different color smoke
    • We smash the white one
      • We find a key and a scroll
        • Scroll of fear
    • Smash the black one
      • Two objects fall down
        • Key and a silver ring
          • Ring says

              • Haste
              • Immunity to charm
              • Detect magic
              • Fly once per day
              • Wish
              • Protection ring
              • Spell turning ring
            • We leave the room the ring stops working
    • Smash blue globe
      • It drops gems
        • They are glass
    • Smash all the rest
      • Merkin does plays a note that cracks all of them
      • And air elemental descends
      • I grab scroll
        • Hold person
        • Give it to Forber
      • Merkin grabs a potion
        • Potion of flying
    • Thrainly has become a vampire
  • Start retreating back down the hall and get back to the sphynx
    • The sphynx solves the riddle
    • But then a bearded man appears
    • Wearing black Eldrich cloak
      • Magical Aura

Battle with Karaptus

  • He asks who we are
  • We are talking with Karaptus
    • He’s very confused
    • And then he disappears
  • We get ejected from a geyser and land hard on the ground
  • We are outside where we started
